This movie was awesome! I loved every second and it was as intense as hell.
Storyline: An infection breaks out in london turning everyone into crazed infected animalistic cannibals. A small group of survivors try to survive the infection but most of them fail and either get infected or die. 10/10
Acting: Really, really good. The actors really depict well the fear that you would actually have in real life. 10/10
Special Effects: Two words: Freaking - Awesome! 10/10
Best Scene: When the infected black guy gets let loose in the army base. 8/10
Ending: An epic finish to an epic movie. 8/10
Overall this movie was just pure genuis and I loved watching it. 9/10

Not just the best horror movie of all time, the best movie of all time! First it scared me to death. The scariest part was the reality of it. It felt like it could really happen. For the final time, this is not a zombie movie. Zombies are reanimated flesh. These are people infected with a virus. Big difference.
Great film. Highly entertaining, and much more substance than many other films in this genre. And even though they are infected, and can run, they are zombies, just with a different origin than many other zombies in films.

This will forever be remembered as one of the best zombie movies ever. This film, unlike any others of it's kind, has a story that allows the audience to really make a strong connection with the characters and care about whether they will live or die. The feeling of the film is perfect, it is unsettling, it makes you feel alone and tense. Which is the how any great horror movie should be. It looks like nobody is around and from the beginning it lets you know that nothing in Britain would never be the same. Very good film, very entertaining. However i could live without seeing Cillian Murphy's johnson in the beginning....
This is no ordinary zombie movie -- The fast pace of this movie keeps you on edge !!!!!!!!

This is a solid movie all around. While I was expecting more of a standard zombie flick going into the film it turned out to be completely different in its focus and take on the genre which was quite refreshing. It had more depth to the plot than just zombies attacking and the zombies were actually fast and intelligent for a change. I was drawn in by the characters and found that I actually cared about their survival in the British wasteland that they found themselves trapped in. This was one good zombie movie and it should be seen by all fans of the genre.
This movie rocks. This (and Shaun of the Dead) saved the zombie film in the new millennium and helped re-popularize it. It has great acting, a good story, and takes its own paths in the genre.
Every now and again a movie comes along and changes everything, and since this movie there has not been to many zombie films that have slow zombies. even thou the infected might not be classified as zombies they're close enough to be compared to. and as far as this movie goes it is a must see bloodbath that redefined horror.
Being contaminated, infected by an uncontrollable force like a virus, is a chilling thought. We can't even cure the common cold, and suffice to say would be screwed if a degenerating, cannabalistic disease was unleashed on humanity. 28 Days Later brings fear of infection into the 21st century and in post 9/11 paranoia. I love the children, and the music is gritty and foreboding. The film is more than a genre piece and can scare horror fanatics and suzie home-maker.
Great horror movie eventhough itd not really a zombie movie. Great suspense and storyline but i agree 28 Weeks Later is the better of the two

one of the better zombie-related films to come out, very good vision, great characters and actors who portray them, very tense and sincere suspense, and this is one of the best horror movies that has a handfull of very well done dramatic elements.
Complete change of direction from Boyle after the glorious Trainspotting. Stunning scenes in a deserted London prove a worthy opening but later let down by the Christopher Ecclestone over egging and the cod ending.
good suspense movie, needs less stupid characters. 28 weeks later is a billion times better. hated the little girl and how she ended up being as bad ass as an infected. how did that dude who couldn't even climb all the way up a bunch of stairs end up being able to pwn a small battalion of soldiers? what happened to the infected chimps? go rape the gay cook if your that desperate for sex. and don't think that they just want to repopulate the country.... if that were so they would just rape the adult chick. it was an okay movie...... not worth buying.

What started out as a promising "zombie" movie quickly became a second movie of how man is once again truly the monster in the movie. Fine acting all around, would have never eaten those eggs. Ending is is a letdown. Overall decent movie.
A bloody brilliant horror film. Even if it's NOT a true ZOMBIE film. With above average acting, a well wrighten script and directing that leaves you wanting MORE. Danny Boyle took a huge risk doing a film like this and it paid off, I highly recomend 28 Days Later to any horror fan and even those who useuly are not fans of the genre. I give 28 Days Later 10 rage infected monkeys out of 28 rage infected monkeys. :D
I'm willing to say this is the movie that got me into horror. I was a fan of it before with some classics like Alien and A Nightmare On Elm Street, but this movie managed to change that like into a love. Also, this boosted both Danny Boyle as one of my favorite directors, and Cillian Murphy as one of my favorite actors. And while the ending is a tiny bit disappointing, the rest of the movie is incredible.
28 days later is far better than the sequel. I loved the story line. They weren't really zombies. Just infected with Rage. Amazing affects to this movie. The ending scenes were great. So much about this movie I just love. A definite 10/10.
"This film is about a virus, 'Rage' virus that makes the infected person mad with extreme rage and hungry for blood. Within 28 days one outbreak in London caused entire Britain dead or evacuated leaving behind a blood-thirsty infected population and a handful of solitary normal persons. Civilization came to a halt, society got destroyed while those limited survivors fight for existence among frequent attack by the vicious victims.
Sounds familiar? Then what makes "28 Days Later..." a classic among a horde of zombie/biohazard movies? Simply a touch of art that Danny Boyle is able to bring what others could not. The others focus too much on extensive, special-effects-controlled, gory action sequences between infected and normals, with heavy background music. But here there's always a tinge of sadness, emptyness, helplessness. Consider that empty London scene with that background music. We found out there's much else to show than just electrifying action or gore to describe the picture of life in this condition that these movies talk about.
There are mistakes and loopholes in this movie. But that couldn't weaken the otherwise tight-gripping storyline. The greatest achievement of this movie is to make one viewer stay neutral throughout the film, without taking any side in the first place. Because the virus we talk about is simply used as a metaphor. 'Rage' is shown as a social disease. That makes it a 'serious' film, not a flick. Every person, even the harshest critic of zombie horror movies should watch this." --shanfloyd, imdb.com
I watched this when it came out and i have to say i was pissed off. The movie seemed like a let down. Did not really seem gory enough of fun enough, and maybe intense enough for me. Then i rewatched recently and found it ok and the story was better. The faults i found in it the first time were better this time knowing the type of story it was. It is pretty good and most people will like this movie.
28 DAYS LATER is one of the "better" modern versions of a zombie film (compared to all the stinkers that have come out since George Romero's NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD) ..... I was glad to see zombies who behaved differently this time (symbolic of what we've become as a society - fast and brutal) ..... and everyone involved (from actors, special effects, etc) does a top notch job delivering a great film on a modest budget (compared to all the 100 + million costing stinkers we've seen released over the last decade) ...... my ownly complaint is where the things slowed down too much 2/3rds into the film (fortunately this doesn't last long)!
Quite possibly the smartest of the zombie genre. It has everything and more. Awesome story line brought to life by a great cast. I truly do appreciate the underlying messages as well. I loved the reason for the outbreak, very original, very scary and very possible. If the world were to be taken over by zombies of infected people...I could see it happening this way.

This Movie made me love horrors from the frights to the violence to the acting and filming it's just a great movie.
I love it soooo much I haven't seen the sequel is it anygood?
please comment on my page and let me know.
I love 28 days later!!!!
This is what horror movies should look like. Not only did it make a zombie attack realistic, but it also had great structure and great acting. I was impressed with the moral and existential questions that were being brought up through the entire movie. While watching this movie I turned to my friend and said this isn't a horror film it's sci-fi because it is actually good. This movie has finally raised the bar for horror movies around the world. I hope that people try to make more movies like this.
Epic! That's all I can really say about this movie. I have never been a huge fan of fast motion zombies (seeing as it would be physically impossible i.e. rigor mortis) but this is really good. I really like how they technically aren't zombies at all thus justifying their speediness. Strong acting, excellent direction, nothing more to ask for. A little slow paced I suppose for all you people who keep going to see Saw movies. But that's not my business. This movie is great.
